You don’t see many off the TFC aircraft flying at airshows why is that. And when did TFC P-39 last flew?

I don’t think that today it was secret, mainly because I saw them , that there 3 or more engineers working on a p47 in order that it would display tomorrow. If you get to DX early enough on Saturday tou maybe lucky enough to see atest flight of the aforementioned aircraft.
nuf said I think. Hope you enjoy the w/e as much as I intend to.

What we need here isencouragement forthose guys who as ever are trying to make it happen. Not carping about unsubstantiated facts.
Maybe there wouldn’t be so much ‘carping about unsubstantiated facts’ if the whole build up to the show wasn’t wrapped in secrecy!!
Goodnight

ah, daylight. Maybe that means that here on the forum they will grumble rather than say yup, good call mate. But tomorrow they will all be happy bunnies having watched a unique and stonking display. Thanks I think that is cleared to me now.
f its aimed at my post about the p47 no guts no glory .I only posted it because its what I saw and was told.
All the people using this form know its being sold and as such this could be the last Legends for it.
Surley its best to tell people it may or not fly if they LIKE ME ARE COMING TO LEGENDS FROM AFAR AND PAYING TO GET THERE AND GET IN.
No way can it be read at a knock at any body working on it.
I like others would like to see it up .
AFAIK the aim is that the p47 is intended to fly this w/e, the pilot hopes so anyway!! What we need here isencouragement forthose guys who as ever are trying to make it happen. Not carping about unsubstantiated facts.

Is the notice on the prop of the Grace Spitfire a bit of a ‘dig’ at the organisers?
By: dhfan - 7th July 2006 at 23:08
I think it does.
Digby is happy to call some of the punters numpties, despite the fact they will be paying a substantial amount of loot to go to Legends.
That isn’t to say I agree with some, all, or less of the comments on this thread but they/we are still the paying public.

Not forgetting of course that a fair percentage of the ‘Numpties’ you refer to will be forking out hard earned (!?) cash in the morning to attend the show
and will almost certainly go home happy.
That doesn’t really make sense does it?

(but if people didn’t have opinions then what would be the point in this forum anyway?)

Having watched the engineers still working on the p47 at 20:00 hrs and knowing what time they and others will be starting tomorrow a bit more of a “well done” and a little less of a “wouldn’t that be nice” or “I would do it this way” might be order of the day.
Hope th e sun shines tomorrow.[/QUOTE]

Just counted the participant list at 56/7 aircraft, most of which are on site or nearly there. You just have to wonder how many more a/c could be fitted in from a logistical point of view. So sadly some like the two seat spits have not been included this time, I guess.

Hello
The grace spitfire this parked up in its hanger space with a note on its prop saying not booked for Legends.
This is a great shame on the part of the bookers.

Fair enough, but I dont know who on here does and who dosnt have anything to do with the warbird world, so rather than taking it that every one who looks in or post’s on this forum knows if you own a Mustang or not why not let them now via a PM or somthing that you think they are gossiping. Remember the people posting the ‘Gossip’ might have read it on this forum so take it as gosple that its true.
By: Eddie - 7th July 2006 at 21:44
I really dont understand this forum sometimes, someone makes a comment or passes on some info that they belive to be true and they just have stroppy, arogant post replying to them. If some one says somthing that you dont agree with or know to be false why not just say so unlike cluless’s post which come accross as very agresive and patronising!
(Quote)Not true.
if not sure, please don’t post.
thanks.
The point is that there are a lot of people on here who have involvement in the warbird world. Posts passing on gossip and rumours about peoples’ opinions can cause real strife in the real world.

Hello
The P47 no guts no glory was having work done on it in its hanger.I asked a man working on it weather it would be flying for Legends and I got a 50/50 answer.
So if its flying great before its sold .If not s–t I wanted to take some pictures of it .
As for the other one being on the Fight line I do not think so its still in bits in the hanger. So no P47 twin pictures .
Unless wheres at Euromillons ticket.

Yes, clearly just having a D-day combat history just doesn’t cut it these days.
I expect there will still be plenty else to see tomorrow though.
