“The Trust is sad to have learned of the death of Flight Lieutenant Philip Anthony Loweth, who flew Hurricanes in the Battle of Britain with No 249 Squadron. He joined the RAF on a short service commission in 1939 and served until 1950.”

Interesting service from 1938. I found reference to a training prang on landing a Wellington, when he was an instructor.
