Hello all,
back from my trip to Southern India, went to Mumbai, Goa(Bikini heaven) and Bangalore and Chennai.
1: Airline:Jet Airways
Reg: VT-JGE
A/c: B737-800
Sector: Delhi-Mumbai
No. 9W 410
Late by 25 minutes due to hot start on engine 2, mildly turbulent flight, good inflight service, friendly staff as usual, but pathetic food. Since 9W started competing with IC there service has gone a little down.
2: Airline: Jet Airways
A/c: B737-800
Sector: Mumbai-Goa
No. 9W 352
A short 40 minute flight which takes path all the way right on the coast line, wonderful sight. Lands on the little airport of Goa, which actualy is a Naval base. But it did a loop-landing so took extra 15 minutes.
3: Airline: Jet Airways
A/c: ATR 72
Sector: Mumbai-Bangalore
No. 9W 1124
Heavy turbulance, another small flight of just 35 mins.. saw the cockpit, quite impresive.
4: Airline: Indian Airlines
A/c: A320
Sector: Bangalore-Mumbai
No. IC 378
Well IC has definately improved, a little more cheerful staff, cleaner aircrafts.
5: Airline: Jet Airways
A/c: B737-900 (10 days old :D)
Sector: Mumbai-Delhi
No. 9W 482
A good aircraft, jet has given pleanty space in this model, unlike there B737/738 which are cramped. Heavy turbulance in this flight, hardly a second passed without a jolt and some scary ones too. This flights pilot was handling the aircraft like Schumacher.

Werll recently it was good as 2 years ago the govt. allowed private firms for ground handling, but its up again that govt. will cancel that and put there gloomy and untrained men on ground again. Although many poeple have objected to this including the minister of civil aviation.

Yeah I guess they have no choice. It would help if the staff were trained to be polite and helpful and not plain stupid.

Lucky you. they were threatning to strip search me, because they thought I was Pakistani because I have green eyes and clear skin complextion. I swear to god the man was gay. He looked like Aamir Khan aswell. Knob

As for aircraft crossing the road, I don’t think its a rare thing really, lots of airports have this.

I did some great spy photography at Mumbai……god knows where all i crept and crawled, the pics arnt that good but will post soon. I also noticed somethin at Goa airport, like at LHR cars stop if an a/c has to pass, same there too, pretty cool.

A great report… So many flights too! 😮 wow! Sounds as if though you had a good time, with flights not being to bad overall.
