Any help would be greatly appreciated

i suppose it entirely depends upon what flight sims you intend on using, and how much money you’ve got to spend.

Where are you guys based?

Hi guys,
I think im going to need more RAM and memory and possibly a better graphics card.
Even tho its okie id like it to run brilliantly.

Whats the thing i need to do to clear out all the rubbish, like keys pressed etc etc?

Thanks

Fsx needs Processor power and RAM.

My flightsim PC’s are always dedicated to FS. In other words, I don’t have lots of other random software running in the background, it will take a big toll on FSX performance, especially on an already marginal system.

Use msconfig to get rid of any rubbish running in the background, do a defrag and lower some of the setting in FSX. Alternatively just keep with a prior version of FS, they are much more forgiving, but the eyecandy is not a good.

I’m assuming that instead of a hard drive, you mean that you need additional hardware to make the game run more smoothly? A few years ago, I had the same problem with Flight Simulator 2004 and the cheapest upgrade for me was some additional RAM, which I think cost about £40, and that made a huge difference to game play.

where did you get the spitfire addon? you generally have to copy the files into the FSX destination directory

like sounds into sounds

textures into textures etc

most of them are in the “aeroplane” folder (or at least it was for fs2003)

memory wise, are you talking about Hard drive space or Ram?

you cant do anything about hard drive space, if its using lots of ram, them you need a better pc :diablo:
