Hawk

A great selection of Hawks including a Red Arrows version can be found here…
DSB Hawk

There are also many repaints for this aircraft on the site.
Yes it will work in fs2004 as well.

Id like to mention the following files get deleted out of my FS Aircraft folder because I cant stand to see them: Curtiss Jenny, DeHavilland Comet, Lockheed Vega, Spirit of StLouis, Wright Flyer, Vickers Vimy, Ford Trimotor.

BE VERY CAREFUL of deleting the default Flightsim airplanes!!!! Many 3rd party downloads *may* alias sounds, etc., to the default planes, so by your deleting them, you may come across a model that will not load because the sound, etc., doesn’t appear.

Also, these airplanes contain “period” gauges that some 3rd party builders can reference.

If you don’t like the default planes, don’t use them, but DON’T DELETE THEM!

English Electric Canberra skins

Hello all,

as a newbie to the Aviation Forum, thank you for welcoming me here. I’ve come over from the Classic British Flight Sim forum to let you know about the Canberra repaints I’ve been working on for FS2002/04. If you’re interested, you can download them at:

www.nazcastudios.com/gaming.htm

Here are some screenshots of a few of them. Cheers all,

Steve

IIRC they link to the AVSIM library. Yes it is freeware, don’t expect a dazzling new 3d model though as it is an upgrade to the default models flight dynamics. Well worth downloading, but don’t forget to RTFM !
although a better idea would be to install the Real Air C172 (an improved version/mod for the default aircraft)

Bruce
Where can this improved C172 be found and is it freeware?

…if anyone can tell me how I can change the Cessna Skyhawk from being the opening default so I can delete it, Id appreciate it.

Simply changing aircraft and saving the flight should do it (check the box ‘make this the default flight’) although a better idea would be to install the Real Air C172 (an improved version/mod for the default aircraft)

Here is a good place for cheap server hosting. $2,50 per slot a month for private BF42 servers ๐Ÿ™‚
http://www.uraniumgamers.com/nuke/
And theyve got server sites in the UK

Depends, skins could relate to sims, there are several sites that provide IL2 skins. A skin is just a nerdy word for a full model texture ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Continueing with the idea of a Keymags FS server, since alot of nice plane downloads on simviation.com, avsim.com and flightsim.com are freeware. Keymags could provide a collection of these downloads for us to use on the server since the default planes are absolutely the worst. And of course you would need to have these planes in your FS files in order to see others flying them. And if there is anyone out there with a spare computer with decent specs and an ample computer conection, maybe they can volunteer to provide such a server for everyone here.

Im sorry webby but with the text documents the model makers etc also force you to include 300kb is way too small given the norm for a zip file is around 1-2Mb now adays for M$ Flight Sim at least.

Also called Aircraft Textures in Flight Sim world not “skins” :p :p
