I’m trying to use Scheduled Flight Trackers such as flightstats.com to identify the airliners passing over my town (I’m on the west coast of Ireand..all flights are transatlantic east or westbound). Is it possible to see all scheduled flight progress at the same time? That way I could see from the tracker map which flight passing overhead is which.

It’s OK, Bob, you can download the app onto your iPhone now and just sit outside anyway…..:D

I just tried FlightRadar24 and plotted an American Airlines flight passing over my office window.
I agree, it’s great fun.

That FlightRadar24 is great and I’m now totally addicted. I get a lot of ‘trailers’ over my place and its also useful to know whats coming your way.
Try this also:
I recently monitored the 787 on a test flight out of Seattle. These sites have tracking in various parts of the globe, so don’t just settle for flights on your doorstep!

Try this:

Click on the Airplane Callsign box on the Filter tab to see callsigns, click onto individual aeroplane icons to see more information (including registration/hexcode).
