Flight Tracking

Hi,
Could anyone give me links sothat I can track flights. I have seen people post information about flights while they are still airbourne, is that free to use?
Thanks for any help!

To be honest, I can sit and stare at these things for ages, so if the price was right (assuming it is to be charged for), I would consider paying for it.

Two advantages this site has over similar ones is the way the aircraft actually move (rather than jump from one position to another every couple of minutes) and the way the aircraft symbols vary in size and shape to help users quickly identify the aircraft type.

Try FlightView (free app)

I havenโ€™t used FlightRadar24 or FlightGlobal, but FlightView has a free version of their app. Iโ€™m not sure what kind of phone you each have, but the app is for Droid, iPhone and Blackberry. FlightView offers flight tracking and in-air flight details like time remaining, flight status. It gives you alerts and lets you check plane position, altitude and speed. Plus, it has maps with radar weather.

Just had a look at Casper. Even more impressive as it does give the to and from info. Looks like a 15 min delay but maybe less if you take a subscription.
Well worth a look

Have you seen the price of casper..gzzzzzzzzz

Radar24 is very good, but i do prefer something that looks more pleasing on the eye. Like i said if they keep it free, and make it real time it will look really good. Just needs more coverage

Out of all these radar sites that are coming online, FlightRadar24 still tops them all in my ‘umble opinion.

I think the delay relates back to 9/11.

There’s one called Casper which shows real time progress for various airports and you can select past dates and replay at up to 100x. Very cool indeed.

Gotta say this looks pretty good better than most out there, i also use flightradar24 but the Atlas one looks much better and cannot wait to see what they have in the pipeline for the future, It is a sahme that its not real time, but hopefully they can do some work to make it real time.
I will def hook my SBS up to Atals once they have sorted the contributors side out.

Good stuff Flight ๐Ÿ™‚

Impressive.

I can’t see the final version being free, though…….. unless it’s full of adverts.

Agreed.

This is very impressive. The icons bear a strict relationship to the aircraft. The a380 is huge! No information on where from and where to but there is a flight number that can help.

www.flytecomm.com works similarly to Aeroseek, however the search options are greater.

Coverage restricted to flights to/from the US, UK, Ireland, or Iceland.

Aeroseek is quite good and coverage isn’t restricted to flights that originate in the USA.

You do need to know the airline code and flight number (eg AAL057) for the aircraft you’re interested in, though.

Edit: Errrr……. it doesn’t appear to be working at the moment…. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

www.trackaflight.com though it doesn’t work well for European flights.
