Hey all,
I was recently in Southend (UK) and went by the airport. I saw this airline called Flightline and a few Bae 146-200’s on the tarmac. I was curious to know if this airline flies any scheduled routes out of Southend, either passenger or cargo and how many aircraft they have in the fleet.
Thanks so much,
CRJ 900

I believe Flightline a/c are used by anyone who wants charter it..Palmair used to use the aircraft for their flights to Palma etc..but now only use the 737/200.The 146 is a lovely safe and comfortable plane..Of DH stock of course!…very practical and now reasonably cost effective to maintain with the latest engines..A pity there is not more of them about!!..

Not sure of the timings but the route is operated on behalf of the IAC – Integrated Aviaiton Consortium who is basically made up of Oil companies who run it as a corporate transport network on a wet-lease basis.

You don’t know the times for the Aberdeen – Scatsta route do you?

Usually 3 146s based at ABZ at any one time for the SCS route.

They also operate flights for oil rig workers from Scatsta to Aberdeen! 😉

Because noone ever uses it, its there purely as a slot sitter. This must be ending shortly, I think QF are using the slots properly from the summer season?

Hi CRJ900! 🙂
Sorry, I’m not sure about the routes, but I’ve found some info on the fleet for you – 5 BAe 146-200s. Here’s the regs.
Bit out of date that list

I believe so – I don’t know anything other about this service, why the “ghost” ?

They also operate the QANTAS “ghost” service between LHR and MAN, don’t they?
By: David Kerr - 22nd February 2006 at 19:17
You’ll normally find 2 at MAN as BA’s fleet seems to like being on terra firma rather than actually flying!

They dont operate scheduled services, they are an ACMI and leasing specialist and good at it if you ask me

Hope that helps! 😀
