Flogger cockpit confusion

1. According to DARE, the attached pic is that of IAF MiG-27ML TS-640 before upgrade. It has a MiG-29 style Heads Down Display. All is fine until you see the following,

Also the cockpit of an IAF MiG-27ML. It has a GPS panel instead of the HDD and does’nt even look like it ever had the latter. So that means that the attached pic could be that of a MiG-23MF right? Wrong. Look at the following pics of the MiG-23MF cockpit,

The above does’nt show any HDD either.

I’ve personally never sat in the cockpit of an un-upgraded MiG-27ML (although I’ve had a peek at the upgraded one) but certain people who have, mention the screen (apparently used for the Kh-29T).

So, could the attached pic be the cockpit of a MiG-23BN?

You’ll also notice that barring the HDD and the placement of the Tranquil display, the instrumentation in pic 1 and the attached pic are identical. This could mean that some IAF MiG-27MLs have GPS while others have the HDD. Strange.
