Bonza Mate!!!!

Top stuff as alway’s Falcon, maybe you can teach us all a little German now and then mate 😉

My level of German is pretty poor, But I did learn a little off Hogan’s Hero’s 🙂 .

Real 109’s have D.B.s, let’s get more flying mate 😀 .

@Willy: We have hard regulations for display flying in germany, after the big accident at the Ramstein airshow. Thats why the planes flying so high. 🙁
But some pilots fly lower display, the double prop Spitfire and the turkish Pitts was flying in an acceptable altitude. And i was at the first display of the Bf 109 G-4 at Albstadt/Degerfeld, the home base of the 109, and there was the plane flying in a spectacular low altitude by Walter Eichhorn. 🙂 It can be that im a little bit overindulged. 😉

@Skybolt: The Junker at Oppenheim was from Switzerland, and thats not EU. 🙂
I dont know how it works with the D-AQUI of the Lufthansa.

Thanks that you like the pics, and sorry for the german language on the review page.

Falcon109: Thanks for posting. I enjoy news and reviews of airshows in Europe. Some of the most enjoyable displays I have flown were in Germany at places like Schamader, Dornsode, Hodenhagen, Osnabruck and Zwickau. Happy times indeed with memories of great pilots like Manfred Strossenreuther and the Eichorn family.
On a serious note, have you any information on how the “Tante Ju’s” are coping with the hugely increased EU liability insurance requirements for heavy “heritage” aircraft?
Cheers,

I was watching on both days and yes, i suppose he was a little high, but so were a few of the others. Sunday I was watching from the other side of the Rhine and he really babied it when coming around to land and during the display in fact. Good for him – better to be cautious I would have said. I was just stoked to see it at all!

A very good little show all in all. Recommended.

Your remark about the Buchon flying too high is interesting. A few days ago, there was the debate on this forum over the Buchon performing aerobatics too low at LFA.
Any chance to have the pilot’s comments?
