My two dustbins flew down the road in recent high winds.

I’m gonna register them with the CAA.

I remember a few years ago someone registered a cast-iron manhole cover with the CAA.

Yes, and I suspect it is/was a more credible flying venture than the ‘Spitfire’ in question here “ML411″/G-CBNU.

(Ian – Tamils flying the odd suicide mission around Colombo the night before last. They tried to take out the Air Force HQ flying Czech built Zlin Trainers packed with explosives…without success…they hit the tax office!)

Now I would pay £575 per share in a Zlin to take out my tax office!!

There is a mk9 about to be auctioned at Hendon by Bonhams, served at Lyneham, and then South Africa, couldn’t get the reg no.

I think that’s SM520/G-ILDA. I did see that somewhere, but don’t quote me on it…

G-TCHI, BS410 Spitfire Mk IXT.

http://www.somme-aviation-39-45.fr/pages/Occoches/Galerie%20Pieces/index.html

Is this the a/c offering shares?

No. Different machine.

BS410 has full 100% ‘thin but robust’ provenance.

A very nice section of the original rear fuselage bearing the serial exists.

‘Shame to spoil a single seater.

Prospective shareholders should be aware that the rear cockpit weight limit is 200lbs.

I think that weight limitations ought to be the very least of any prospective investors considerations! In fact….if you weigh just over 14 stone or in excess of 40 in this particular case then I rather suspect it will not make one iota of difference in the final analysis.

What if? What if the “instructor” weighs less then 200 and flies from the back seat? Would this not open the possibilities up to larger clientle?

It’s most unfair to refer to the FRED like that. It only glides like one!! 😀

The company has been registered since 2005 but has not been trading since 2007.

Well the aircraft is registered with the CAA. 🙂

That project also needed unusual ammounts of optomism to take to the skies.

In the words of Groucho Marx…
Does MK 12 have any information?
I promised myself years ago I’d never buy a Spitfire/Seafire without his blessing. :D[/I]

Last heard of, ducking Tamil bombs in Colombo !!!

Sounds a good deal to me.

Will the resulting 2 seat spitfire have a set of undercarrage doors?

Or is that an optional extra?

Maybe its all in the information pack.

Then again……

The undercarriage doors are valued at around £750k per side these days, so that makes £11.5k for the rest of it seem about right…
