Fly in a Vintage or Warbird

Now there is a two seat Hurricane nearly ready for taking passengers up over the Kent and surrounding areas I was thinking that is a very personal choice and many non warbird fans would be bought a Spitfire flight by family and also warbird fans equally but what would be your choice of Chariot for the duration of one of these flight/ taxy rides?

We cant produce a poll here anymore and I doubt I will get much feedback, bet here goes

I prefer anything with an open cockpit, I would go for the Tigermoth.

My first flight in a P51 was a bit disappointing, so smooth.
Maybe a Hurricane with fabric fuselage ……..

You can buy a flight in a Lancaster in Canada.

And here in New Zealand as well as Spitfire, Mustang, Harvard, and Tiger Moth, we also have the options to buy rides in the following not on your list – a P-40N, an Avro Anson, a Yak 3, several Stearman Kaydets, DH83 Fox Moth, DH84 Dragon, DH89 Dragon Rapide, DH90 Dragonfly, and of course the DC-3.

I have had the privilege to fly in a few warbirds – Spitfire, DC-3, Grumman Avenger, Harvards, Chipmunks, D84, DH89, Tiger Moth, and an RE8. All were fantastic experiences.

I can’t pick just one!

But, if it came down to it, it would be a coin-toss between the two-seater Spitfire and Buchon.

My choice would be the Buchon with DB engine over in Germany, although I think it has only flown with a Merlin up front in recent years.

Not sure if there is anyone doing rides in the UK in a P51 Stangman I will need to look into it, but I added it to the list but obviously stateside and Turkey I think
