Due to health issues I was unable to fly at this year’s Fly Navy Heritage Trust Charity Flying Day, but I took the opportunity of a non-fliers ticket!
Attached are some images from the day, which was cloudy with the occasional ray of sunshine breaking through….
The small static park….

She’s back and serviceable!
Also present was Kennet Aviation’s Seafire. Lt Cdr Dave Mackay RNR and it left VLN during the early afternoon for a display at Plymouth…
Some of the privately owned gems that were present, most were busy throughout the day!

John Beattie also displayed the Jay Pee…
Most of the RNHF display pilots were in attendance, Lt Cdr Chris Gotke is in the seat of WV908…
…and once airborne he met up with the Seafire. Definitely not the best of light, but one of the best sights, a Sea Hawk airborne!
Well done to all involved with organising the day and to all those that gave their time and aeroplanes.
One hopes that the next event will see the Sea Fury and Swordfish back to join the Sea Hawk!

Good to see Hawker’s prettiest jet back in the air – disappointed to miss her at Duxford at the weekend.
