I see that the Fly Past indexes begin in 2001.
Perhaps a silly question…but I just wanted to check in case previous issues exist but just havent’ been indexed….
The magazine did begin life in 2001? What month did the first issue come out? Thanks for any help.

Does anyone remember the newspaper format”Aviation News”,came out in the late sisties ,it was in B&W and was very informative..

Originally published bi-monthly the first issue was dated May/June 1981 (monthly from the November 1981 issue).

Not sure when Flypast started but i have one from 1989. I started getting the mag monthly from 1990 and an index was available from that year onwards at least.
I could be barking, but I seem to recall seeing it in the early 80’s when I was buying Aircraft Illustrated (now almost 40 years old) !
