FLY TO NORTH WEALD SUNDAY 6 MARCH!

The North Weald Airfield Users Group (NWAUG) are delighted to announce that landing fees at North Weald are waived on Sunday 6 March! )

The NWAUG invites everyone to fly to North Weald, on that day, and will be holding a workshop so that you can lodge your objections to RSS 14 (the East of England Plan) to build 6000 houses on the Airfield. All the forms will be completed in advance, so all you need to do is sign and submit them. We will even post them for you!

NWAUG members will be in attendance from 11.00 onwards to offer advice and a briefing will be held at 14.00, for visitors and local residents, which will last approx. 30 mins. You are then free to enjoy your hamburgers!

Please help the cause! We need as many as possible to attend and make their views known. Please come along in even if you have already made submitted your objections.

PLEASE NOTE – This invitation is for everyone – not just those with aircraft – so please join us however you wish to get here.

Forms have been collected and, all things willing, will be delivered to Popham next Saturday 5 March.

If you are a Pophamite, bring a pen – everyone will be accosted.

(John, Alan: If you receive anything addressed in this way, feel free to open and process it on my behalf. If you receive chocolates and flowers addressed to me, don’t forget to let me know before passing them on to your mothers/wives/girlfriends!)

I have amended the original post, as per the quote above.
PILOTS: Please don’t get turned away on the day because you haven’t rung in advance!
DRIVERS: Cars need no permission, please just turn up and tell the friendly man on the gate that you are going to The Squadron to sign the protest form.

Janie
Like Nick says,
if you can get some of the forms over to Popham for next Saturday. I think you might find a small but like minded group of individuals down there who would be happy to sign a few for you.
Let me know
Andy

Merlin:

Sadly West Malling failed!

It did but for reasons that hopefully do not apply to North Weald.

I will check out the NWAUG site.

Merlin: If I wasn’t on a stupidly sssssloooooooww laptop, I would look up the website address of the North Weald Airfield Users Group. That would give you all the information you need. They have done an immense amount of detailed research, they also welcome any suggestions.

Sadly West Malling failed!

Paperwork for the protest? I’ll come back to you on that.

I’m hoping to make the trip and give my support.
Aren’t there enough houses around London????????????

John Prescott thinks we need to fill in the fields between Epping and Harlow.

Sounds an interesting idea. I will try to make it.

Will there be anyone there with a battle plan and planning/legal knowledge, plus an alternative solution?

Has anyone contacted former members of the Save West Malling Action Group. They may have vital knowledge concerning the tactics used by the promoter.

It would be beneficial to make available the promoter’s evidence that they will use to form their business case for destroying a via airfield and buiding rabbit hutches.

The more info you can provide me with the more ideas I can come up with. An executive summary might assist me. (Time poor I’m afraid, so can’t help on the campaign trail)

That was my point Tony 🙂

Then again, the pilot and the plane might not like the idea of going directly in a straight line. The last time I tried a touch-and-go the plane said ‘Wheee!’ and made for the trees. Frisky beasties these Emeraudes, but lovely with it.

Janie,

Think I may need a copy of the paperwork as well, think it will be unlikely I’ll be able to make it either.
