New jets on order Jun 6 2005
By The Evening Chronicle
Budget airline Flybe has bought 26 new jets which it hopes will boost its service from Newcastle International Airport.
The low cost flight provider has bought the Embraer planes worth £500m. It will receive the first aircraft next autumn.
The firm said the planes will initially be deployed in Flybe’s major bases including Edinburgh and Belfast but the firm has not ruled out further routes from Newcastle.
A spokesman said further announcements on where the planes will be based will be made in the future.

Dont forget EXT. that would probably be the 2nd or 3rd biggest base and is Flybe’s HQ
Oh yeah! 😮

I’d say Flybe has 2 or 3 ‘major bases’, at BHX and SOU, and maybe BHD?

EDI with 2 based Q400s, I wouldn’t class as major, yet. 😉
They’ve said they’re going to expand everywhere, literally, but this has probably already been posted?
