Report in my local that the airline are ready to announce new routes from Dyce for Summer 07.
An announcement due next week.
No clues re where, but the airline have alluded to Scandi routes in the past, but had been waiting for a longer runway before commiting to anything from ABZ.
They have in the past envisaged up to 14 flights weekly to various destinations.

If I’m honest, I hope they don’t pick AGP, as it would put them in direct competition with MON who currently fly AGP-ABZ.
Don’t think route could support 2 operators, unless GSM are confident of usurping MON.

I’d expect ALC, AGP and PMI to be dead certs. PRG might be a good bet as well.

Newsletter from Flyglobspan confirms 1 737-7 at ABZ for S07.
Still negotiating landing slots with the various airports they wish to serve from ABZ.
However they mention the Med & Cyprus would be within reach from ABZ with the new a/c.

Good news for ABZ, we just got to wait to see where they are going to fly to.

Report I looked at says 2, but I suppose as it’s my local rag you can’t trust everything you read in the press!
Although it does quote Tam Dalrymple directly, and report says the 2 a/c will be delivered next spring.
Definitely says one of these a/c (or THE a/c if it is only the one) will be ABZ based.

Airline purchasing 2 B737-700s (modified) one of which will be ABZ based for S07.
Routes to be announced “in the coming weeks”.
Work “90%” done, remaining 10% is getting the suitable slots for the destinations they are looking at.
Anything from 7 to 14 weekly flights envisaged.
Wonder what the mods are (winglets perhaps???)
