Flyglobespan Launch 7 Routes from ABZ

…..

Flyglobespan to add seven new Aberdeen routes
Victoria Moores, London (04May07, 11:12 GMT, 129 words)

Scottish budget carrier Flyglobespan is further developing its presence at Aberdeen Airport, where it plans to add seven new routes this winter.

It is adding weekly links to the Spanish holiday destinations of Madeira, Malaga and Palma, as well as Paphos in Cyprus and the Swiss city of Geneva.

Alicante and Prague are also joining Flyglobespan’s Aberdeen network; both will be served twice-weekly.

Flyglobespan chairman Tom Dalrymple says: “As well as flights to traditional winter sun resorts like Malaga, Alicante and Palma, there is Madeira, a new destination for the airline, Geneva for the skiers and the vibrant city of Prague. It is a very good mixture.”

The services will begin on 1 November and will run until March, alongside twice-weekly Flyglobespan’s Tenerife service which it launched last winter.

Well the 1730 arrival from TFS didn’t get into ABZ until about 0220 today, 8+ hrs delay.

ALC was due 0130 today, similarly delayed as result.

Problems at TFS, or problems at GSM???

Good news for ABZ, aslong as they can find a 2nd aircraft from somewhere to base up there otherwise it. I doubt it will stay as announced between now and winter anyway, we know what GSM are like with combining flights etc.

Any chance on seeing them in DBV, SPU or TIV any time soon?

They held slots for GLA-DBV last summer I believe it was, and are currently operating to PUY so I’d say that it’s a possibility.

Hope they know Madeira is actually PORTUGEEZEZ & not Spanish! :dev2:

Malaga means Monarch v Globespan.

LOL, yes I thought that myself, I think it may just have been the source that got it wrong though, unless its a marketing ploy because they fear some Scots won’t travel unless its to a Spanish Costa:diablo: :dev2:
