Scotland’s Flyglobespan to add 787s to fleet
Darren Shannon, Washington DC (09Aug06, 19:07 GMT, 103 words)Scottish low-budget carrier Flyglobespan is to add Boeing 787s to its long-haul fleet.
In a statement today, International Lease Finance (ILFC) says the Edinburgh-based airline is to lease two 787-8 aircraft.
The aircraft will be delivered March and November 2010. Both are being leased for 10 years.
Flyglobespan, which has plans to expand into several UK-North American markets, was not available for comment.
ILFC currently leases the carrier a Boeing 767-300ER, two of its three Boeing 737-800s and is set to deliver a 737-700, according to ATI sister product ACAS. Flyglobespan also operates two 737-300s, a 737-300QC, four 737-600s and a Boeing 757.
