flying in a B25

Hey

Having recently moved to Canada from the UK I am pleasantly surprised by the different attitude to aviation over here (sure we have always known that!) but I bet many of you have always wanted to fly in a warbird! Well I am pleased to say that for Fathers day on the 15th June I managed to achieve that privilige. I started off in the morning with a flight in one of their Harvards and in the afternoon finished off a wonderful day of watching some magnificent aircraft display (incl. John Romain in a lovely ME109) by flying at 50ft (so the pilot told me!) over Lake Ontario while in the tail gunner position in the B25! I am now saving frantically for my next flight in August when I will have the honour of flying for an hour in the Lancaster! It just doesn`t get any better than that! We managed to do about 10 mins of flying in loose formation with 2 Spits and the Lanc on returning to Hamilton Airport, a marvellous end to a superb hours flying. I highly recommend the Canadian Warplane Museum in Mount Hope, Hamilton. It is a very friendly place and you can fly in some amazing aircraft. Who needs Disneyland??? Can anyone else recommend flights?

Another flight to go in is the beech18 and I heard that the PBY is an awesome aircraft to fly in as well!
