One, maybe stupid, question: Will the gates be opened by 8.00 am ?
The site says Car parks will be opened by 8.00am, the Vintage Village and the Flight Line by 9.00am… but nothing about the gate itself.
And one more…
How long it takes to drive the shuttle bus from Cambridge Rail Station to the IWM?Thanks! 😎
From past experience, its around 40 minutes. In past years the first bus has left about 8.30.

This year’s most welcome visitor must be the DB powered Buchon. Bravo TFC, bravo Flugmuseum Messerschmitt… :applause:
Runner- up will have to be the Red Bull P-38. Always a welcoming yet rare sight. Still remember Lefty wringing the sh!t out of it around the pylons in Reno.
Bronze to the four Spitfire Mk.1s. When I did my first UK airshow (Fighter Meet 86) I figured a pair of Spit IXs amongst twelve fighters, (flying in formation with a 747 that weekend) was as good as we would get!
Then I expect the Nimrod/ Fury group to come high up on the list.
Speaking of Furies (with a different level of anger), good to see the two French planes, but what is the story on TFC’s own example? Not on the list either…
I also note that not only is Amara’s P-40 off the list, but his 51 isn’t on it. Both down with tech or…

I’ve said I’m sorry. So shoot me.
What at present prices of ammunition?

No idea on the P-40, but the organisers probably decided that it wasn’t worth the effort to truck the Hurricane from Turweston only to be able to tow it up and down the crowdline. Probably better to wait until it has actually flown before it makes its first airshow appearance. 🙂

Hello Just wondering why Curtiss Warhawk P-40N F-AZKU and Hawker Hurricane Mk.II G-HITT have dropped out from Flying Legends 2015.

Depressing that the website person uses the word ‘aircrafts’ in the URL.
Very depressing indeed. I’ve decided not to go this year 😉
Let’s all look forward too seeing some grate flying by sum brilliant aircrafts.

Never mind the mis-spelling of one bloody word, let’s pray for good weather and aircraft servicibility, looks like a great line up.
I’m with you.

What a wonderful line-up! And some beautiful photos, too. I like the little airframe histories, too.
Seems like those headed to the show are in for a real treat.

Yeah, I was being pedantic. That was an interesting link Tony. I also wonder whether it’s to do with English being increasingly a non-native business/internet language – we’re getting a form of ‘pidgin’. One for ‘General Discussion’ maybe – apologies again. Re the line-up.. the increasing pre-war representation really appeals. Unfortunately I won’t be there, I’ll be showing new bits of Whirlwind at the Westland 100th anniversary bash. But I wish everyone who goes the best of weather.
