Well as posted in another thread by the me was the idea of having an unofficial meet up at FL this year, just for family and friends of people who post on the historic side of the forum.
Just an idea at the mo and i want to see the opinion, i presume it will be a small group of us and we can meet at a designated place have a wander and look about then settle for the flying display you can come and go as you wish just a chance to put names to faces etc

Looked at the weather, flipped a coin, am going tomorrow with the waterproofs and factor 50 just in case……
I will try to get to the beaufighter for about 10.30 or 11 but the forecast is now for occassional showers so anything goes.

Flying Legends flight line walk
Hello
The flight line walk this some thing you pay extra for.Its around £4 and you go in one gate and exit by another.Its a thing so you can get closer to the line up .It can be good for taking pictures.
I see its your first time if you get to duxford early you can get a spot right againest the fence.The crowd can be very big.
I find the best spots are either end of the crowd line.Your will find the tank bank by the land museum a good spot.

Ahh, don’t know if I’ll make it to Leg-ends. I live in Pepperslade and DX is atleast a 10 minute walk:D

I will be taking the grand bus & ferry tour from Utrecht to Calais-Dover-Duxford and back from friday night till sunday morning together with Skybert Senior, so will love to be in front of the Beau with all of you guys..:)
Its almost worthwilde joining. Am going by car from zaltbommel, duinkerken, dover, leamington, DX

I am going Saturday i can try to meet near the beaufighter about 1030 or 11 depending on when i get in.
The other question is how will we know each other should we all wear a red hat or something?

Sadly i doubt i will be going due to other commitments but i shall see
By the sounds of it the beau will be in hangar 2 (duh) possibly in the middle of the hanagar seeing as there wont be anything in there
Just guesing but if it is you can get an all round view which would be better than being soved in a corner, would be nice if they could get the blenheim in the hangar as well (as it will be empty)

How about 1200 when the flight line walk closes? That way we can all walk the flight line and get our static photos then get together (to complain about the idiots who insist in getting in front of you when they can see you are lining up a shot – them and the step ladder brigade).
This is what i suggested as it worked very well with the bollero meet last year. Having the flightline all to yourself is always nice.

i will be there on the sunday ,but on the other side of the fence sitting in the field outside ,if anyone in the group is a radio ham ,i will listen out on the calling channel 145.500 mhz or gb3py on 433.200 mhz for a chat
