One WW II bird I have always wanted to see fly in person was a Mosquito, in all my trips over to the UK at Duxford..I never had the joy of seeing one fly. I came across this blogg from the outstanding aviator Kermit Weeks..it shows him standing in front of his Mossie….I had wondered if he still owned it. Looks like it in Wisconsin & he intends to truck it back to Florida and get her operational again. Any more operational Mossie’s in the world today or current restoration projects underway.
Was kinda hoping when I was visiting the site of Amiens Prison this past June..several Mosquito’s might do a low level buzz job over the walls of the prison. Really beating up the area with those lovely twin Merlin’s !
Nice picture of Kermit Weeks standing in front of his Mosquito..man this guy has flow about every kind of aircraft there is !
