I am off to Sydney and Hong Kong in January for work, but have convinced the powers that be in my firm to let me fly the wrong way round the world… I normally fly LON-BKK-SYD and then SYD-HGK-LON…
This time I get to fly…
Virgin Upper Class LON-LAZ
ANZ Bis Class LAX-AKL
ANZ Biz Class AKL-SYD
SQ Biz Class SYD-SIN
SQ Biz Class SIN-HKG
Virgin Upper Class HKG-LON
I had better get the camera batteries charged for this little jaunt! Watch out for photos galore whilst I am travelling in January! 🙂
Anyone flown ANZ biz class before? I have heard good reports so far…..

Whenever I go back to NZ I try and go ANZ and of course their route is LHR-LAX-AKL. Although I think in AW they said something about new agreements between Australasia and the UK? Meaning that ANZ for example could open up new routes into the UK if they wished in future.
Although I’ve never been able to afford to fly ANZ biz, Chris, I have flown econ a fair few times and could never fault the service ANZ have to offer. I think by the time you go ANZ should have rolled out their re-fitted 744’s on the LHR-LAX routes.
