I thinking of booking a long weekend in Rome next year but can’t decide whether to fly Ryanair from Teesside, or Easyjet from Newcastle.
Do Easyjet fly to a more central airport?
Any thoughts or recommendations?
Which has the better service?
Any similarly priced alternative air routes I could fly locally, such as via AMS on KLM?

ok, my last comment might have been a bit unnessacary and out of order.
(I wasn’t talking about who has the lowest fares).
There is reason to believe that part of the reason ryanair achieves it’s low fares is through bad pay to it’s crews and alot of disrespect to thier professional knowledge in a way that MIGHT comprimise saftey.
Perhaps I’ve just been brainwashed by the biased comments by ryanair pilots on another forum. However, I find it easily beleivable and I personally feel that if you have any respect for the aviation industry as a whole you should stay away from FR.

Ryanair are a disgrace to the aviation industry and an insult to all flight crews.
I know it’s already booked, but please everyone else – fly easyJet if you must fly low-cost!
Not when I booked a flight to Genova in italy last night for £23 rtn inc taxes. I was looking for a cheap day out, and I got one. Easyjet I would have been looking at £40+ to go somewhere similar.

Have a great trip Pembo, im having my second Ryanair flights in Feb.
They certianly aren’t my favourite airline, but they get you there at a cheap price.
Still waiting for your TCX Lanzarote report? 😉

Have a good flight!
I’ve flown Ryanair many times from PIK to STN and found them excellent, quicker than a bus, cheaper than a bus most times and you get to fly 🙂

Well, I’ve booked it and gone for Ryanair. Easyjet aren’t on sale yet and scheduled flights were just too expensive.
So my first experience with Ryanair comes up next May.
Thanks for all your thoughts guys. 🙂
