Flyjet 767

Does anyone know the latest on the Flyjet 767? I saw on the Ringway reports website that it has been parked there for a few weeks on long term maintainance. Did I hear that it had some kind of structural fault?

Yes. G-FJEC has flown down to Lasham for – ahem – “more parking and maintenance”. 🙂

Word is that it is one very sick B767 indeed.

It seems this plane was a bit of a pointless buy if its just going to be on tarmac all time at MAN.

Surely the flyjet maintenance team will have given it thorough checks before deciding to acquire it, if not then its their own fault! Doubt its awaiting a refit – it operated some flyjet flights a while back so it must have been kitted out months ago.

I’d heard that there are serious technical problems with it. I also noted that it was hemmed in by airport vehicles this week. Normaly they do that with an aircraft that owes the airfield money!!!!

I have read that it has some structural issues, another that it is just taking longer than expected and is going for refit, although being broken up is probably taking it a tad extreme :S Where did you hear this Tommy?

Im guessing it will probably broken up. Im doubting it will touch the clouds again.

What makes you think that?. I’m hearing the opposite
