Was looking at the mornings departures and noticed that the flyjet codes were replacing the xla ones again (FJE600). Does this mean that the flyjet 757 has returned?
Cheers

Hi All!
IS G-FJEB based at MAN or LGW. I am due to fly MAN-ACE next week with Flyjet and was wondering if this is the A/C I would be flying on.

The B767 is still at Lasham awaiting it’s re-fit

i think so as OH-LBS (Excel finnair) has gone back to finland and the finnair 757 OH-LBO is operating the excel flights with xla codes

thought i might add that the excel flights have had a mixed cabin crew of flyjet and excel and when they made an announcement the flights where both operated by excel and flyjet but my flight was an excel flight and not a flyjet flight rather complicated lol!

To clarify things a little.
Flyjets own 757 G-FJEA is back based at NCL and has been since 4th September, first departure being FJE600 to CFU. The Finnair a/c was used during July and August, operating under XLA flight numbers on the FJE routes to cover for the absense of FJE’s own aircraft. The reason it operated under XLA flight codes was that FJE have signed a lengthy contract with XLA for NCL operations.
FJE’s aircraft is now here to stay, operating the rest of the summer programme and continuing operations for 6 flights per week in the winter.
Finnair aircraft OH-LBS (the one with excel airways titles) positioned out to Helsinki on sunday night, leaving BO to continue XL flying.

Thanks for the responses! I think they must be using the flyjet flight codes but still using the finnair 757; as the flyjet codes have been appearing a lot lately.
Heres one for tonight;
FJE605 20:20 TENERIFE

Excel Airways are operating what used to be the Flyjet flights with a leased Finnair 757-200. They did this because Flyjet had to get rid of the 767-200 therefore they chucked the 757 off NCL to cover for it at LGW.
I guess what you saw will just have been a typo, often happens 🙂

Sam

Just got back from Reus and hour ago, the Finnair 757 is still there and the FJE isn’t anywhere to be seen.

Arrived home from CFU yesterday, whilst at CFU, Flyjet arrived from NCL.
When I had arrived at CFU a week ago, there had been no sign of FJE, though a Finnair 757 was present (presumably the aircraft operating the NCL flights)
