Hey Guys just thought id explain this all.
A member of my collage course has recently got a job with flyjet as cabin crew infact she started training on monday. Me and my fellow students and tutors are all worried about her postion so this is purely our way of finding out whats happening. I know some of you will say “just phone her then” well belive me we have been trying all day, but to no prevail.
The information came from a ex employee of my tutor so i belive this is accurate information.
thanks for your time.
luke.

To be honest Grey Area Flyjet never had much of a reputation anyway. Their famous for delayed flights and aged aircraft.

This sort of rumour can sometimes be deliberately put about to damage the reputation (or share price) of a company.
I’m not implying that lukeylad is trying to bring down Flyjet, by the way. 😉
I’d ask you all to exercise restrain unless and until there is some concrete information.
Remember, rumours are sometimes fun but they can damage people’s livelihoods. And that’s never fun for the people affected.
Thanks

Seriously doubt the 757-200s have been grounded, they are only built in early 90s. The 767-200 however, a different story.
It’s not neccesarily to do with age of the aircraft at all – most likely not. easyJet had some problems a few years back when the aircraft were all missing the correct insurance form and the whole fleet was grounded.
If a fleet is grounded it will often be for admin reasons rather than actual concerns with the aircraft.

Rather than the aircraft, I belive the thread refers to the company as a whole

There’s a lot of anti Flyjet stuff going around at the moment. He’s not refering to the B767 which is still out of service is he?
By: RIPConcorde - 15th June 2006 at 15:04
Is it not just the B762 that is effectively grounded?
By: lukeylad - 15th June 2006 at 14:56
