Funny really shouldn/t we be thanking the volunteers of differant organisations as they are the ones who give of their time freely for little or no reward

With the greatest of respect guys there was more than an element of truth with the P-38 story. However it’s distinctly the owner’s choice what he decides to do with something. The actual story itself was generated in the U.S.
What is fact is that the TFC Mosquito left at the same time and sharp eyed observers will find that it’s still in the U.K but very possibly not in the same ownership.
Whilst it’s not always easy to determine the facts of a ‘deal’ 100% I can assure you that every effort is made especially as large sums of money are often involved.
FlyPast is often the ‘butt’ of criticism when it comes to deals not quite happening or non appearances of aircraft but it’s worth pointing out that
they fund this site and judging by some of the ill-informed comment on it they could have ‘pulled the plug’ on it years ago.
As an aside it’s worth considering some of the ‘opposition’ efforts in recent years :

‘Buffalo for RAFM’
‘Genuine Heinkel 111 found in Spain’
‘Me109 in India’

All of these have either been found to be completely untrue or greatly unhelpful in ongoing negociations.
By all means go to Legends but don’t blame the messenger when an aircraft can’t make it!

Thank God for that. They were spot on last year when they informed us all of the P38 that TFC had bought and would be bringing over.

Praise the Lord, at last that’s been cleared up.

Good old Flypast always on the ball, we can all rest easy now no need for lists of aircraft coming to legends we have Flypast to keep us up to date. 😀
