FlyPast poster

In flyPast is a very nice poster of PA474 ‘Phantom of the Ruhr’. The Lanc appears too be missing the escape hatch covers on the top of the fuselage.
Is it usual to fly without them?

In short, yes.

It gets very stuffy in there apparently. Removing the hatches gives a bit of air circulation.
