Not sure if this has been posted before, apologises in advance if it has.
It is called FlyPink, in homage to all things girly, and is aimed at the Coleen McLoughlin and Victoria Beckham wannabes; basically women aged 21 to 35!
As the airline itself does not have a website of its own yet, I have found most of this information from other sites, so not sure how trust-worthy it is…
It is leasing a 100-seat Fokker 100 in a fuchsia-pink livery (could this be a Helvetic a/c by any chance?) and will operate twice-weekly flights from Liverpool to Paris from August 2007.
Dependent on the success of this route, services to New York are due to begin later in 2007, and Milan in 2008!
Does anyone know anything about this ‘new’ outfit…?

Will the airline be grounded once a month??
I would tell you I laughed, but it would only encourage you. ๐
I love the Aussie un-PC (and un-EC) sense of humour!:D ๐ ๐

So an airline who automatically gets rid of half of its potential customers. I dont think this even deserves a discussion because we all know it aint going to go anywhere.

Indeed it is Andrew, just had a quick look through it and noticed it in there as well…so what is your opinion on the airline itself then?
Given I view “Sheila’s Wheels” television adverts as an unfairly biased view stereotyping male driving I’m not too keen on even more divide between males and females.

Is New York really a possibility? and especially from Liverpool?
There just isnโt enough demand for a LPL – JFK alone – Only with passengers that would transit through the hub for onward destinations.
Flyglobespan didnโt/donโt have a NY hub and I am guessing neither will this new airline. Only the likes of Delta, AA & Continental will be successful at these sorts of routes (UK regional airports – NY)
