FOAS

Britain plans to replace their Tornado GR4s with the Future Offensive Air System (FOAS). Contenders are:

– A new built BAe design, a stealthy a/c with internal bomb bays and long range
– JSF
– A strike version of the Typhoon (=Eurofighter)
– UCAVs
– combination of UCAVs and convential a/c
