The Lashenden Air Warfare Museum are seeking plans for the Focke Achgelis Fa 330 to aid the restoration of 100549. We are particularly looking for plans relating to the instrument panel and its mountings including the pitot head. We also require plans for the rotor head and blade construction.
Good quality close up photographs of any of the above also welcome. We are also interested in acquiring any original Fa 330 parts to aid the restoration.
Many thanks in advance

That one will be much more accessible than the one encascerated in the Science Museum collection at Wroughton…..

The Aeroplane Collection (TAC) have an original, apparently unused, FA-330 rotor head, with its flapping blade supports, in their collection. I think it is on loan to another museum at the moment but it’s possible that this could be available.

Have you tried the excellent Hubschraubermuseum in Bückeburg (Germany)? They have one too, and have a remarkable archive… Might be some drawings in there.

Understood: I thought that a hands-on visit with a ruler and a digital vernier would suffice! 🙂

Saberjet, we have made arrangements to measure and photograph one of the existing Fa 330’s in the UK. Plans will eliminate any guess work in the restoration.

I’m sure I saw a Focke Achgelis (Fa 330?) at Duxford the other week: the Science Museum at Wroughton had one too: would they be of use?
