Hi,
I posted a piccie or two Here – ‘We Don’t Know what…’ which also show the Fw190 in action – though Bruggen’s are better than mine (how did you avoid the rain?!)
I think some of the care that the Fw190 and Me410 recieved from the St Athan boys was a bit robust – they were more interested in getting them running than authentic restoration. I’m not being critical; and I am greatful that they did what they did; but the Fw190 DOES need a proper restoration.
The ONLY positive thing about it being at Hendon is it’s safe inside. The rest is minuses. Morgue.
Cheers

Crash and Smash cut through the wiring loom. We had the panels off a few years ago for its annual inspection and she doesnt look to bad at all. A little work and she would run again.

Looks like the Grunherz was added at a later date too. Must have been quite a sight (and sound!) having this and the Me410 running up. 😀

FW190
I thought they would have restored it a little,as you can see from
the first photo the engine did run.

Your photo looks much better, but then she is out in daylight. We did notice the state of the panels on the top forward fuselage though, they seemed to have been battered about a bit, and she generally seemed to be in need of some TLC… 🙁
