dark light

Fokker D.XXI Under Construction.

Hi,

Attached 2 photos from the Fokker D.XXI project. It will be a flying example which hopefully will be ready somewhere in 2018.
The owner of the project is trying to find one more navigation light which was manufactured by Labinal in France, if anyone has such a light we would be pleased to hear from you.

Regards,

Mathieu.

Thanks for the reply Sonderman, also for the link to the Danish project. Never heard of this despite being an (expatriate) Dane. Just goes to show the placidity of Danish aviation media as they were…

I remember seeing a D.XXI project on this very forum a year or two ago, I’m not sure if it was this one or the Danish. Regardless, it’s great to see this!

As a child I built a Matchbox model kit of the type and was rather taken with it so I’m always happy to see a 1:1 example in the works.

What engine will it have?

Wright Cyclone 1820. Btw, also in Demark a D.XXI is under construction that will be flying. More about the Danish project: http://www.nederlandseluchtvaart.nl/forums/showthread.php?40121-Denemarken-Fokker-D-XXI-project

Fantastic! A long overdue replica! What engine will it have? Can’t recognize it on the photo, but doesn’t like a P&W?

An interesting enough aircraft and a worthy project. I’ll look forward to hopefully seeing this one fly!
