Most of it is operated by Lufthansa Cityline I believe, which is like BA Citiexpress, a seperate company but fully owned by the main carrier.

True, and their subsidiary Contact Air has a dozen or so Fokker F50s. But it is true that no F70/100 are operated by/for LH.

At the moment only the E170/E190 is a match for the F100. The A318, B736 and B717 are similarly sized but probably to heavy for the tasks of the F100 and E170/E190.

Good point however they also operate 18 RJ85’s.

Sounds very much like a joke to me. Even if they are looking into it, the reason is most likely to put pressure on Embraer, Bombardier and Fairchild/D’Long.

Having said that, I really want them to get F70/100s as they are great planes!

What is a.net.

Yes would also love it to happen.
