When I was back in the UK this week I heard that
Luftansa was intrested in the buying F1OO’s
also FINNAIR does anybody now anything.

Most of it is operated by Lufthansa Cityline I believe, which is like BA Citiexpress, a seperate company but fully owned by the main carrier.

True, and their subsidiary Contact Air has a dozen or so Fokker F50s. But it is true that no F70/100 are operated by/for LH.

Bombardier does not make planes as large as the F100. They have a good match for the F70 though.
At the moment only the E170/E190 is a match for the F100. The A318, B736 and B717 are similarly sized but probably to heavy for the tasks of the F100 and E170/E190.

Sounds very much like a joke to me. Even if they are looking into it, the reason is most likely to put pressure on Embraer, Bombardier and Fairchild/D’Long.
Having said that, I really want them to get F70/100s as they are great planes!
