Football Stadium In; Aeroplanes out? 1,600% rent rise at Booker Airfield.

Flying at Booker ( High Wycombe ) seems to be under threat from the local council who want to increase rents to businesses on the airfield by 1,600%!
Well known operators include Wycombe Air Centre, British Airways Flying Club, Booker Gliding Club and Personal Plane Services.

This predatory move can hardly be unrelated to the resolve of Wycombe District Council to build a new Football Stadium for Wycombe Wanderers / London Wasps, who seemingly find their present stadium (built 1990 ) inadequate. They have long had Booker airfield in their sights and no doubt things would be easier if GA was driven out.:mad::mad:

A court battle appears to be in prospect.
