Melbourne city gets a lot more rain than its water supply catchments which are north and east. Makes for the anomaly of water restrictions in the pouring rain. Great place to live (I lived there 7 years 97-04)

Melbourne. Right now it doesn’t need more rain. Also, I don’t like being rained on, even when Melv’s buying the coffee.

Then JDK, you are immensely welcome in the land of the bush fire … where are you going to be living (city)?

Well (sort of) pleased to report we are having a heat wave here in N.Z. after recording the coldest December on record….talk about Yin – Yang !
Mind you we thought we had better turn on the summer switch for Steves pending arrival. 🙂

…and on this morning’s UK TV news, flooding of the Yarra river in central Melbourne.

Living up to its reputation of having the ‘four seasons in one day’

Hi Yesterday was horrible in Brisbane – it was just a little cloudy – all the people on the city beach looked only a little happy and the temperature was 30C – when will these dreadful living conditions end……
