I just read that CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation?) has a project in 2004/2005 to produce a program described as:
Above and Beyond: The story of the Ferry Command, Lord Beaverbrook’s plan to deliver warplanes for the Battle of Britain.
Do keep an eye out for this and report back and pray that it gets exported to the UK.

Have you tried your local library? I’ve read all of the aforementioned books that way and indeed I can confirm they are all very entertaining.

No idea of ISBN numbers but according to the dust jacket of “Mosquito Racer”, Don McVicar also wrote “Ferry Command”, “North Atlantic Cat” and “A Change of Wings”.
“Mosquito Racer” was published by Airlife in 1985 and is said to follow on from the previous three. Presumably they were published by Airlife too.

Hi
There are TWO super books by Don McVickar all about the Canadians ferrying a/c (all types) to the UK and route finding.
One is called Ferry Command and I am sorry I cant find the title of the other one but it is a sequal to Ferry Command. If you are interested PM me and | will get more details ie; the isbn numbers and the title of the second book.
Hope this Helps
All the Best

Hello / Bonjour,
CBC is Canadian Broadcasting Corporation indeed. Of course it’s often overlooked that Beaverbrook was a Canadian. – there’s a Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Frederiction, New Brunswick – I think it was his home town.
Cheers, salut
