Just thought you might be interested that tomorrow (Thursday) the BA2914/5 LGW MAN LGW Is due to be operated by a B777. Not sure why, shortage of B737’s I imagine.

Nice pic, but nowt special since it can’t be recognised as being MAN.

If you knew the local topography, you would recognise Alderley Edge on the right and Shining Tor on the left 🙂 .

LMAO that it MAN!
I know. 😉
Just saying that if something like T2 or the tower was in the background it would have been more recognisable as MAN.

Someone get a pic of that, please? How long would that flight take…?
Amost exactly the same time it would take in a 737 (or in any current jet).

2 out of 3 previous Manchester services were cancelled today (Thursday) – 777 is bit extreme though. It’s probably a 737 fleet problem. It’s due 30 minutes late as well – i imagine a 40/45 minute turn-around for the 777 may be a problem! 🙂
The 737s seem to be playing up a bit recently as well – yesterday morning’s Geneva flight arrived today and the Bologna this morning was a few hours late, but given BA’s punctuality record of late, that’s not bad
I see Ryanair have had another go at BA again: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/news.php?yr=06&month=jan&story=gen-en-180106

Quite so – my point almost exactly.
Maybe our very own C King will be able to oblige if he’s at work tomorrow afternoon?

I did not refer to this forum in particuler Lance, it is very very likely that pictures of this aircraft at MAN will turn up on the sites I mentioned….

Ringway Reports will have a picture, Jetphotos will have a picture, Airliners will have a pictures. Just about every photo site will have a picture!
Not to mention the fact that tomorrow is a weekday and most of our MAN regulars will be at work or at school/college/uni at that time of the day.

Would imagine MAN-LGW would be 30-50 minutes?
Imagine getting a triple in place of a 73…. would be fantastic!
