Hi,
I went to fly my favourite Slingsby at Thruxton last night around 17:00. Now Normally when Boscombe down is active we must fly a lower circuit and contact them but we were told that they were having an emergency and it was better not to call at all.
Same on the way back and this morning on the local news there was this item reporting a crash or a forced landing in the Salisbury plain around the same time.
Are the two related? Have you got any more infos on that? I only saw the plane briefly on TV but it looked like a two seater trainer, possibly a Piper Tommahawk.

Thanks for the link YAK_11_Fan. After all I’m not sure this is the same as the boscombe down emergency put possible.
There were lots of people about in the air around 18:00. Anybody flying in the area, I might have seen you.
