Former Boscombe Hunter XL612

Sad to see the former Boscombe T.7 sat outside at Swansea ! It deserves to be back home !

Thanks all for the info on ‘601, hopefully it has a bright future. Likewise XL612, can’t have too many Rasberry Ripple Hunters if you ask me.

601 has not been scrapped. It has been stripped down, 1 wing has been de skinned so the wing pylon mods can be copied for the rest of the fleet. Apache Aviation are intending to return 601 to the skies though it will probably be brought up to the spec of the others.

I recall the various comments at the time about how it would be better if these aircraft were back in the air and not stuck in a HAS building at Boscombe! Lucky
that XF375 was around and a Chipmunk needed some new wings!

Not as sad as the fate that’s befallen XE601 I’d suggest. 😡
