As always Daniel thanks for the heads up and your enthusiasm to want to pass on something interesting to the world wide readers of this forum.
Having inspected Ol’279 a few years during a Museum tour I believe fully that being made airworthy after so many years out in the open is a pipe dream even allowing for the relatively dry inland climate of Dubbo ….but certainly a static display elsewhere would be a possibility.
For those readers not familiar Dubbo is an inland city here in Australia some 300km NNW of Sydney
Here are the co-ordinates to insert into Google earth:
-32.289872° 148.556887°

Chris Gordon means well and I congratulate him for his eagerness, however initial cost, current location, relocation, financial interest from people/companies etc that have the money to support such a large project and all the other factors that would have to be considered, IMO I dont think it will happen!

This aircraft has being forsale for a long long time for 40k it is in poor condition and not complete , would make a ok spares source for HARS .
The cost of moving it would be not worth it , at best would make a good cockpit.
cheers dave

Some simple facts would be welcome in a post![/QUOTE]
The poster posted a link to a facebook page and a question mark at the end of his post…..
Clearly you know the facts A-4scooter but I didnt know anything about this potential scheme/plan or pipe dream so thanks Daniel.

Lets get some facts straight, The Neptune A89-279 in DUbbo has been for sale for some time by the owner, who STILL owns it!
The creator of the page Chris Gordon, has created the page to gauge the support of refurbishing the aircraft either to static or flying.
No purchase or tranaction has happened yet.
Some simple facts would be welcome in a post!
