Forum BBQ

To celebrate the end of Group Flight’s trip around the world, in the A320 simulator built by our very own andrewm, in cooperation with Park Plaza Hotel, Pepsi and easyjet, our principle sponsors, we are offering the chance for Forum Memebers to come to Belfast for a BBQ (if you want you can try some airline food as well) on the 3rd of August.

The BBQ will take place besides the Park Plaza Hotel, which is adjacent to Belfast International Airport.

The Plan is to start the BBQ from 1800 onwards, where there will be a free supply of Pepsi through the evening, courtesy of one of our sponsors, Pepsi

The cost of the evening will be a dirt cheap £5, where you can catch up and meet the crew of Group Flight, and other forum members who will be there!

If you decide to fly into Belfast City Airport, we can transfer you free of charge to and from the City, to the event and back

We can also give you the chance of trying out the A320 simulator for yourself throuout the night, after we finish the RTW trip at 1900. Also there is a chance to fly the sim on the morninf of the 4th. There will be other simulators set up for you to try out, not the real thing, but still complex setups!

If you do decide to come, then take advantage of the free transport we can offer you to take you to the best viewing spot on Northern Ireland. We will take you to a mound which has excellent views of the threshold of runway 25.

Due to the event being in the evening, you might decide to take advantage of the offer we have arranged with Park Plaza Hotel, of a special rate of £55 for 2 people, wich includes brekfast!

We do hope that you can come and support us. £5 for a BBQ, free Pepsi, a chance to meet up with Group Flight and Forum members, a day’s spotting, and a chance to try out the A320 sim, we feel that is excellent value!
And of course the money raised will be going to The National Society for Epilepsy

You can either show up on the night, or for more info, post here, or email:- info@group-flight.org

We hope to see you there!

Count me in guys all being well. Coming from Donaghadee, I can also pick up pax from BHD if required, as I’ll be passing the front door anyway.
Looking forward to putting faces to names perhaps 😮

Driving 30mins (20 in with no traffic)
Flying in Cessna – 10-20minutes
Walking – 1 day

I can speak to EGAA about GA parking, one of the flying clubs is all ex police so could prob (esp when i mention charity) get it for hardly anything i would hope!

Why good man, that’s very kind.

Just seen this posted up here, cheers for making it a sticky!

The BBQ is going to be a very interesting event, even with no comitment from forum members there are already 15 plane mad people confirmed to be attending. You really cannot turn down £5 for this, firstly because its for charity, and especially considering the flight is your only extra cost. The hotel is literally 30 seconds away from the airport exit, so no complaints on expensive additinoal transport costs either! 😉

Great… My current plan is to arrive in BFS for circa 17:30 on August 3rd.
I’ll depart around the same time on the 4th.
