I’m curious to know if the webmasters are aware that this forum is getting slower to load more frequently over the last week or so? I’ve exhausted all the usual user-end options (I’m a pc fixer so quite aware that at my end it may have been my pc needing a clear-out) and comparing my frequently visited websites – this one stands out as very obvious. Page loading when first visiting each day is a nightmare with slow / partial loading at first. Once I start using one forum section and start reading posts – the forum gets really ‘clunky’. I’m on a 100mb broadband so this really should not be happening?
I suspect the server is getting overloaded at busy times (there is no obvious really quiet time from what I can tell)….

Well 11 replies isn’t a majority…lol 😉 It has improved since my first post, and I have been logging in at different times of day & night to see if it’s a web traffic thing? I’m writing this reply when it is actually ‘normal’ and changing from one sub-forum to another without a problem – just as it should do?

Odd isn’t it – you certainly seem to be in a minority of those who have posted here, as one who is experiencing problems.

Hmmm… interesting as I have Adblock on my Firefox so I don’t even see the adverts? Tried it in IE and Firefox on 2 pc’s at the same time – when the forum slows down it is apparent on BOTH browsers. Trouble is that it’s a sparodic problem, and believe me I’ve thought of all the usual things – and my broadband is ultra-quick thanks to a Virgin upgrade!!!!

Sometime it can be very slow to load but it seems to be the adverts at the top of the page that cause it. I use Firefox, Chrome and IE8, mobile and tablet. Same on them on them all.

Its coz it is getting old.
Look into it and you’ll find things starting to shrivel, seize up, fall out, and so on. Ask the older members of the site…;o)

In PC terms I’m working the boiler of a steam locomotive. All, seems well.

Odd – I have not noticed any difference other than when my broadband connection is running slow, but that is nothing to do with Key, of course.
