Some weeks ago it was suggested that we have a forum meet, or series of forum meets around the country, just before Xmas. I thought I’d raise the topic again since time is running out.
Mike J (over on WIX) suggested for a London/South East venue a combination of visit the IWM (Lambeth), then on to the Science Museum, before a trip to the Book Mine at Motor Books (Nr Leicester Sq). As for the date can I suggest either the 18th or 19th December.
Anyone interested???
Geoff.

Oi I resemble an Oompah Loompah I’ll have you know
It’s true, I’ve seen him !!
Sorry, but I can’t come at all – funds diminished and insufficient free time.
You’re all welcome to visit me on my stand in the Plymouth Pannier Market though – convenient located (for the incontent) by the toilets!

Cees,
What day will you be at Hendon? Perhaps any of us who are free could meet you there; and then have another meet (IWM/Science Mus/Motor Books) in January for those who are not free until then.

I will be in London from December 30th till January 2nd and if all goes well I will be meeting Mr Harry Fraser Mitchell at the IWM Lambeth where he will hand me a cardboard tube with lots of Halifax drawings (I hope) in front of the cockpit section of PN323. Would make a nice spy plot for a film, remember the Ultravox video they did for Vienna?. 😀
Now where is me raincoat
Cheers
Cees

Guys, I think we’re getting a bit off topic here.
Are there any more takers for Geoff’s possible Forum Meet in December or January ?

You are playing the worlds tallest Santa being dragged (as is usually the case) through the town centre on a Sleigh(with hidden wheels – towed by a ratty old Land Rover) to the sound of really bad Christmas Music on a really bad Portable Stereo? The Sally Army will of course follow along close behind.
Go on admit it.
You’ve seen us then ?
Always looking for volunteers Nick

January fine by me, apart from the last weekend where I am already committed.

I’m committed (and I think that’s the right word) to Round Table stuff then

Am I dreaming, or was there going to be an attempted meet somewhere around the Bedford area with a potential overnight stop for those who needed to at a nearby hotel (AIB – wasn’t your name mentioned, or am I dreaming that as well?)?

Okay then, if those who are interested in a London meet (itinerary as above) can post their suggested dates & we’ll see if one emerges that’s good for all of us.

Sorry Geoff, I can’t make that weekend.
