No problems with the forum for me at all, I’ve always said you lot are a little slow!:p:p

I’m using Firefox without problems. Just tried IE and it is running slower but only marginally. Even pages with 10 or 20 images are appearing within a few seconds at most. Not having to refresh or anything.

Bazv. So do I, but still running at snails pace again.
I recon Kevs put a virus into all our comps, so he can have the forum all to himself.;)

Other forums are loading ok which suggests network ok.
Could it be related partly to which browser we use ? …I use Google Chrome !!

I think the problems you guys are experiencing have to do with traffic on your networks. Have you tried speedtest.net?
By: kev35 - 21st August 2011 at 09:33
Still absolutely no problems here whatsoever.

Mr Webmaster, I would just like to mention that Fly Africa was hacked this week by a Turkish delinquent and is still suffering problems as a result. 😡

Lance, So your the one who purchased the one from Bletchly Park, no wonder it’s working.;)
Hah.
My desktop PC is a sleek, modern, vaguely threatening glossy black thing that seems far too small to do the things it does.

Just had a thought, the kids are off school, and one of my Grandsons is on his until 3 or 4 am each day. So perhaps the servers are on near overload?.

I use my ordinary Virgin Broadband connection on my three year old PC at home and a Vodafone dongle for my laptop at my Uncle’s. Everything’s a little slower through the dongle but not by that much.

I know nothing of how any of this works but if there is a glitch in the forum, how come some of us seem to have no problem at all? In fact, I’d say it’s been even quicker since some of the really long threads were closed last week. Still running absolutely fine here.

Jim, when you purchased that 2nd hamster for the leccy generating hamster wheel you thought you’d cracked it. It turned out the 2nd hamster was a female and not a male as the pet shop guy suggested.
There’s your problem less leccy as the hamsters are canoodling more than operating the wheel.:D
More likely your entire street has heard what a wonderful forum this is and they are all logging in.:)
On a serious note it will probably sort itself out in the next 24 hours once the tech guys have a scrutiny.
