I just wanted to speak up over something that I’ve noticed appears to becoming a pattern on these forums.
Every time EAL_KING starts a post someone seems to give it a one star rating. Now EAL_KING has had some problems on this forum, but these have been sorted out and should be left in the past.
Whoever keeps on making these petty actions should stop now, this is a form of discrimination.
I haven’t spoken to EAL_KING about this, but I was just looking through the forums and noticed an ongoing pattern. It needs to be stopped now, this is very unfair and puts a certain amount of undue pressure on one of the youngest members of our forum.
Lets be a bit more supportive of EAL_KING, he has been trying to get on the right side of everyone on these forums ever since the ‘spelling’ incidents and has been making a real effort.
Whoever is doing this stop now and take a good look at yourself, you are being small minded, childish and petty, leave your difference in the past and get on with what really matters……..AVIATION!!!!
Sorry to go on about this, but I felt that someone should stand up for the youngster.

well i’m afraid that im going to stand up and say “if the features there and people want to rate posts – let them”. it really is an individuals own business.
I realise that this post will have probably come about with the best interests of EAL in mind (well done Mr Halstead) but I have to say that I totally misconstrued the initial post as being a tad tedious to everyone and extremely patronising to EAL_KING himself…
How can the whole topic of leaving someone to post (in a more coherent fashion in this case) come about if the initial topic keeps getting thrown back up in the clouds so to speak (a semi-pun on the forum there guys :D).
Im not sure how many times i’ve said it now but please, for gods sake, in the interest of just my sanity even, can we forget it!?!?!?

Being fairly young aswell i never had a problem with the way he wrote, but i could see how txt language is hard to read for the “oldies” here:D and yes i remember when i was new i got a couple of bad ratings but i dont start to many threads in the first place…

But at least with this you can rate several times, thereby correcting early impressions, rather than deciding early when someone signs up that they talk sh1te, rating them badly, then finding out they normally talk sense, but not being able to change your rating…
Although, to be fair… I’m not to bothered, it just led to tit for tat rankings of each other, as mentioned, like a bunch of 6 year olds.

I actually think now that Martin has pointed out this feature, the users have suddenly began to use it. Look, nearly every post on this forum has a rating.
I dont think people took much notice of it before, or even knew about it… but now they do.

Ive just noticed that alot of posts are being rated…. whats the point?
If you like a post, say it in the text. Everyone has there own opinion on the post’s in here and it may not be a case that we all like the same.
I didnt like the post from EAL king about the ‘Worlds best Airline’ and I put my point across. I didnt imagine my comments and the one star rating would stir up a storm!

uhhhh, why have such a stupid facility in the first place? It was tried on A.Net and utterly failed for various reasons.
I don’t think the ratings system benefits this board in any way….it’s like some silly 6-year old popularity contest…

Thank you you guys i want to know why people are doing this ive only just notised what 1star is and i know i have a few of them i would like to tell the people who are doing this to stop talk to me and say i do not like this post and not rate mine crap/****/worst if you dont like it dont rate it ok thank you and i hope this stops.
p.s i will keep an eye out on what people are saying and doing while i am on holliday from next sunda i fly out at 5:10 i think on air 2000 to montisar tunisia so please just stop it.

I will be the first to admit that I havnt been fair to EAL king, not him personally but some of his post’s. But I aint losing any sleep over it.
LBA if it worries you so much why not rate his post’s higher?

If you look, one of EAL kings post’s has 3 stars. Personally I cant be bothered rating a post if its good or bad, Id rather speak my mind if I like the post or not. More often than not I dont comment on any posts which dont concern me.

Yesterday to my mind I think EAL_KING posted 2 good threads. And hes typing properley!!!! 😀
