Fouga Magister OY-FGA

Today I received the sad news that Magister OY-FGA is a definate write-off. The aicraft suffered from a fire during take-off on April 30 from Roskilde Flyveplads (RKE/EKRK) with owner Niels Egelund behind the controls. Aircraft will never fly again, but maybe go on display at some museum. Engine was saved and will be sold. Sad news for the small Danish warbird scene.

Congratulations to everyone involved. I’m looking forward to seeing her in the shy this summer.

The French do do some things mechanically right, and then there are the others!:D

So, yesterday, almost four years after its serious incident, OY-FGA took to the skies again. Yes, after all the aircraft was rebuild using the tail section from a doner-Magister. Glad to see a Jet Warbird over the Danish sky!
