Found some parts.. ID?

WANT THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least 2 hawks were dumped over by the Vulcan/shack when I was at Valley in the early/mid 80’s.

I’m pretty sure one was XX180 (hit birds doing a roller at Mona) and the other was XX223 (burst a tyre on landing and scattered itself across various hard standings).

Tell me about it, think we left a couple of cat3’s down there to die.. Weigh the ******s in I say..

Plenty of dead Hawk bits (especially rear fusalages!) here at Saints aswel, nobody seems to know what to do with them!

Nah mid-80’s afair. They just seem to dump more recent stuff by the hangars.. (xx196’s wing has been outside for ages now..)

I remember seeing it in the other thread, but the Hawks bits would be more recent?

& it seems they have been there for a while.. the varsity was buried many many years ago..

They are indeed on the airfield dump.

It seems a shame to have them sat there rotting away, I’d only want to weigh them in but if someone really wanted them I could maybe ‘have a word’

Blimey, bit unusual for a station to dump stuff in that manner in more recent times. Is it within the airfield boundary?

Yeah was surprised to find them. Find allsorts there on a walkabout, loads of vulcan bits scattered and a few hawk bits I spotted today. Will have a better look next time I’m there.

Bristol hercules engines.. possibly varsiy.. very nice!!

Certainly got that Hercules look to them, and the four bladed prop.
Nice find, must have been a bit of a surprise?!
